Welcome to the III Iberian Wolf Congress website.

The Galician Land Stewardship Association (AGCT) is a national NGO which main aim is the conservation and recovery of the natural heritage. To be able to reach this aim we have to know in depth the different species coexisting with us as well as their management and conservation problems, particularly in our unsettled times.

In 1997 and 2005, the Spanish Society for the Study and Conservation of Mammals (SECEM) and the Wolf Group of Portugal organised the I and II Iberian Wolf Congress, setting a historical precedent for the scientific knowledge of this large carnivore in the Iberian Peninsula. This time, our association, with the support of different associations, universities and local, regional and national governments, will organise the III Iberian Wolf Congress, that will be held in Lugo, Galicia (Spain), 23-24-25 November, 2012. This conference aims to provide a challenging forum and unique opportunity for researchers and managers of the Iberian Peninsula to share their original research results and practical development experiences on specific new challenges and emerging issues.
